Early Life & Background
Rev. Mrs. Mofoluwake Oluseyi Babaniyi( Nee Odubanjo) was born on the 30th June 1967 in Abeokuta into a God-fearing family of Mr John Odubanjo of Ijebu Ode and Ms Layonu Oluranti Gbadamosi of PWD Shogunle Area, Ikeja, Lagos.. A family where hard work, integrity, and service were foundational values. From a young age, she stood out as a bright, determined, and compassionate individual. Her upbringing in a close-knit community instilled in her a deep respect for tradition, the importance of education, and a love for people. These values became the guiding principles that shaped her life’s journey.
Growing up, in Abeokuta with her mother, a psychiatry nurse at Aro Abeokuta. she displayed a natural leadership spirit and a sharp mind, often taking responsibilities beyond her years. She was a beloved daughter and sister, whose early years were marked by a hunger for knowledge and a passion for helping others.
Education & Career Path
Mofoluwake Babaniyi (Nee Odubanjo) began her primary school in Ibadan and attended Methodist Primary School, Akintola way Ekotedo Ibadan and finished in 1978. She was a brilliant and determined young girl. At the completion of her first school leaving certificates, she gained admission into the prestigious Queens School, Apata, Ibadan where she completed her secondary education. She graduated in 1983 and was a functional member of her set. She then proceeded to the prestigious University of Lagos, where she bagged her B.Sc. in Botany in 1989. Excelled in her studies, always driven by a belief that education was the key to personal growth and community transformation. Her professional path eventually led her into the field of education, where she found her true calling—shaping young minds and building future leaders.

Marriage & Family
She was blessed in marriage to Rev. Dr. Samuel Babaniyi, a union built on mutual respect, love, and shared purpose in God’s service. As a wife, she was her husband’s unwavering pillar of support in life and ministry—encouraging him, praying with him, and standing by him through all seasons.
As a mother, she was deeply invested in the lives of her seven children—six daughters and one son. She raised them to be independent, responsible, and God-fearing, instilling in them the same values of hard work, excellence, and faith that defined her own life. She also cherished her role as a grandmother, showering her grandchildren with love, wisdom, and guidance.
Ministry Support & Service
Beyond her responsibilities at home and in her career, Mofoluwake was a faithful servant of God. She worked tirelessly alongside her husband in ministry, contributing her gifts and strength to the growth of the church. Her passion for education found its fullest expression when she established Folu International Schools in Isanlu, Kogi State. As the proprietress, she founded the school on the enduring vision of “Knowledge and Discipline”—a philosophy that combined academic excellence with moral uprightness.
She worked tirelessly to build an institution that would stand as a beacon of quality education in the community. Under her leadership, Folu International Schools became a respected name, known for producing disciplined, intelligent, and well-rounded students. She invested in her teachers, encouraged innovation in teaching, and ensured the school remained a place where every child could thrive.
Personal Qualities, Passions & Impacts
Mofoluwake was a woman of strength and grace—firm yet compassionate, disciplined yet deeply loving. She had a lively personality, always ready with words of encouragement, yet unafraid to speak the truth when needed.
